Costa Rica Will NOT qualify for the World Cup
by admin on Sep.19, 2009, under Costa Rica
It is pretty clear now in my mind that Costa Rica will not qualify for the world cup. I have been watching every game since the start and have seen that after the last 3 loses against El Salvador Away, Mexico at home and Honduras Away the team has given up and also 50% of the country has as well. There are still a few Ticos that believe they will beat the US in Chicago, however this is a pipe dream.
The nail in the coffin however was firing their coach Rodrigo Kenton when Costa Rica are over half on the way to the world cup, it is well known you should not change the manager during your world cup qualification as this will not help.
Top 5 Costa Rica Hotels

Being a luxury travel consultant among many things, part of my very hard job is having to go to all the luxury hotels in Costa Rica and experiencing the product first hand. People say it is a hard job and of course i would agree with them. It sounds like spending weekends traveling around staying at 5 star hotels is fabulous however i seem to be constantly working and people are always in need of me. I feel like nobody is believing me at this point.

Curry Joke
Being a Brit in Costa Rica, one of adopted national dishes is curry. Originating from India, curry is defined as a spice dish, usually in a sauce with meat, vegetables or seafood. Curry originated in England after the colonisation of India, however now ‘Chicken Tikka Masala’ is the most popular dish in the UK. It is kind of hard to believe that another countries food is now the national dish of one of the most powerful nations on earth. The SS has its hamburger, the Spanish have Paella, and the French have Onion soup.
Now living in Costa Rica it is essential that i at least eat curry once a week!! However there are only 2 curry houses here in the Central Valley and actually in all of Costa Rica. You have the “Taj mahal” in Santa Ana and also the “Tandoori House” in Santa Ana. Neither are that great and are terribly expensive. I have come to the conclusion that it is better for me to actually cook myself as it is cheaper and also it tastes better. (continue reading…)
How to find a cheap hotel in Costa Rica
by admin on Mar.05, 2009, under Costa Rica
So I was recently searching for a cheap hotel in Costa Rica as everyone likes a good deal and I came across this website called JungleBid, it essentially allows you to bid or buy out Cheap Costa Rica Hotels.
I thought it was a great idea because I am sure that many hotels have availability during their low seasons and especially with the world economic crisis probably in their hgh seasons. I remembering personally working in hotels and we would actually sell $160 room nights for $30 to some people. As we said, it was better to have a room at $30 rather then $0.
