Bill fish
I just came back from a great weekend at the Marriott Los Suenos near Jaco, Costa Rica. The area if famous for its bill fishing as the Los Suenos Bill Fishing Tournament is Costa Rica’s largest fishing competition held annually at the Marriott.
This was my first time fishing in the area as well as staying at the Marriott. We stayed at Casa Harmon on the Marriott resort which is managed by Stay in Costa Rica. The house was a fantastic house and located only 5minutes from the marina, the hotel and also the beach. The house looked over the golf course and had 6 bedrooms however the swimming pool was the best part of the house as it was surrounded by tropical plants. (continue reading…)
Sensu 50% off = 50% off service

Credomatic in Costa Rica came out with its 50% discount on selected restaurants, which i think is fabulous, everyone loves a good discount. However the big question for me was how are the restaurants going to afford this? Below are some thoughts:
1) Credomatic says they will not charge transaction fees for a set period?
2) Credomatic will be covering some of the 50% discount?
Having dined at the fabulous Sensu Sushi Restaurant I am now able to figure out how Sensu are making money off the deal. They are reducing their staff by 50% so will not have this expense as well as telling their staff to serve at 50% efficiency and 50% less friendly. I have to ask the question where they get their staff from, they are just terrible. However I have to blame the management on this for hiring them and also it appears the lack of management of the restaurants.
The restaurants are dirty throughout, especially the one in Plaza Rohrmoser, however Real Cariari is slightly better with better staff.
The 50% sounds good however it does come with a price!! What else is being 50%’ed??
Origins of the name Bexon
by admin on May.22, 2009, under Life
This interesting name is a patronymic (son of) of Beck, which itself is either of Anglo-Saxon, Old Norse of early medieval English origin, and has three possible sources. Firstly, it could be from a topographical name for someone who lived beside a stream, from the northern Middle English “bekke”, stream. Topographical surnames were among the earliest created, since both natural and man-made features in the landscape provided easily recognisable distinguishing names in the small communities of the Middle Ages. Secondly, it could be derived from a habitational name from any of the places so called in northern France, for example Bec Hellowing in Eure, Normandy, having its origins in the Olde Norse “bekkr”, a stream. Lastly, it could be derived from a metonymic occupational name for a maker, seller, or user of a mattock or pickaxe, from the Olde English pre 7th Century “becca”, mattock or pickaxe. Job-descriptive surname originally denoted the actual occupation of the namebearer, and later became hereditary. Recordings from London Church Registers include the christening of Miriam, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Bexon, in 1883. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Walter Bec, which was dated 1086, in the Domesday Book of Buckinghamshire, during the reign of King William 1, known as “The Conqueror”, 1066 – 1087. Surnames became necessary when governments introduced personal taxation. In England this was known as Poll Tax. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to “develop” often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling.

Shoebacca Discount Coupon – 15% discount
by admin on May.22, 2009, under Life
I am big fan of Shoebacca as they are always offering discounts and they a very good selection of shoes. However the main reason i like them is beacuse they have my favourite shoes Addidas Stan Smith’s.
Currently there are giving 15% discount, you just need to enter
‘FIFTY’ into the coupn code when you check out.
I would like however to make some website complaints, just in case anyone from teh company is reading, which i highly doubt:
1) Very confusing homepage, confused at what you are selling, especially as the right sidebar is asking me to vote on what sports I watch. Are you selling anything?
2) Load time of the site is pretty terrible.
3) menu bar is not highlighted enough and also only has 3 options, where is the specials page or top 10 shoes, people click this stuff.
Shoebacca if you want some help please let me know!!
