Curry Joke

Being a Brit in Costa Rica, one of adopted national dishes is curry.  Originating from India, curry is defined as a spice dish, usually in a sauce with meat, vegetables or seafood.  Curry originated in England after the colonisation of India, however now ‘Chicken Tikka Masala’ is the most popular dish in the UK.  It is kind of hard to believe that another countries food is now the national dish of one of the most powerful nations on earth.  The SS has its hamburger, the Spanish have Paella,and the French have Onion soup.

Now living in Costa Rica it is essential that i at least eat curry once a week!!  However there are only 2 curry houses here in the Central Valley and actually in all of Costa Rica.  You have the “Taj mahal” in Santa Ana and also the “Tandoori House” in Santa Ana.  Neither are that great and are terribly expensive.  I have come to the conclusion that it is better for me to actually cook myself as it is cheaper and also it tastes better.
